Sariphi's charm does it again lol
So wholesome.
I expected that Tetra's backstory was about being neglected, what I didn't expect was the explanation behind the queens actions being due to social pressure/expectations.
It's good that the queen doesn't seem to hate her daughter, just a temporary disconnect due to both of them having unfortunate circumstances.
Anyone shocked and looked at MAL and find out this is NOT a 12 or 13 ep series… but 24. Let’s enjoy the ride
I'm really happy for Sariphi.
I wonder if Leo and Sariphi's child will be full human or half and half? lol
There's only one way to find out ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Well with Yashahime with Kagome and Inuyasha's daughter she took more the lines of human but with just subtle parts of a humanoid dog demon and look da-mn cute.
So I's say they're children would look good ether way.
If the genetics went 50/50, then the kid would be 1/4 beast, I wonder how that would work.
If you guys are wondering what Sari and Leo's child looks like you don't have to imagine it any longer because there is a Sequel manga with their child as the mc called Shiro Usagi to Kemono Ouji
You can just read the last chapter of thr manga (89 and 89.5) but well, ill just put spoiler tag for those curious.
oh hes so cute i cant wait to see him animated
Nah pretty much look like Leo, since mgical beastmen here have stronger genes that even permeate genertions of human partners. What's more is that it's royal blood. That's what I believe, lore-wise.
whichever bloodline is the strongest the child will take that persons characteristic.
Usually, but not always, as is the case with Leo.
Leo's case is connected to the miasma while Sari has no such magic power sue to being a true human. Being in the miasma land of the magical beast of course her off-spring would be usurped by the King's blood line. until they left the beast lands and they would revert to humans with some vestige like horns of something.
So... the king's father clearly went mad because of losing his human wife (lover?), right? And he resented his son because she died in childbirth? That's why he had a child with a human but "hates" his half-human son.
Pure speculation on my part, but I can't see it turning out differently.
I have a hunch that's far from it. Stories like this have subtle hints to make you question what they said. For example in Leo's case having said that his only known relative is his "father". Could be that it's what he said as it is. Or, since he doesn't quite piece together the nature and history of his birth, maybe his "father" was hiding something from the rest and took that to the grave.
It's just me and my hunch telling me that the story isn't so straightforward. They tend to have plot twists too
Youre not too far off from your speculation, albeit not too close too.
I mean what are there for alternatives really? Assuming it isn't literally a magical curse of some sort, he either: willingly procreated with a human (considering he then took the child as his heir it seems unlikely it was him merely 'playing with his food' or something), unwillingly procreated with a human (basically impossible), or the king isn't really his son (perhaps a nephew?).
This makes sense, cause the only other reason I can think of is that the old king was forced to have a child with a human woman despite not wanting it.
It's more difficult as the old king knew his son's "curse" would give every tom dick and harry who desired the throne an excuse to claim it! Some would be overt and simply rebel, seeking to power their way in while others might say "Our bloodline is purer than the current king and attempt to weasel (no offense to weasels) their claim first to the top and then claim the power.
The discovery of the prince's curse is nothing but a nightmare for a King who ruled with an Iron fist. No where is it's discovery a positive for his legacy.
Thing is, I would more than willing to try to be understanding of his circumstances IF he showed even a bit of kindheartedness OR if the true secret to his agony is ever revealed.
Not spoiling anything, but nope.
Maybe it has something to do with the mental condition of the old king deteriorating. Maybe he had dementia and his mind wasn't in the right state when he said that.
I didn't know this had 24 episodes. Well more fun for me
Their relationship is so sweet and I'm glad it's moving forward but the fact still remains that she's a furry and he's a loli..so when they started talking about kids ..not only was she red but I was red(I'm sure some of u guys were too) and the amount of dirty thoughts that came to mind was 😳😳 damn!!
George Takei: Ohh myyyy...!
Next weeks episode has me excited! That must be the Amazing guard that someone mentioned that Sariphi will get.
i bet the va is gonna be bakugo XD
He DOES seem like that kinda character.
Beautiful episode.
Tetra is such a good friend.
After she attempts suicide and after her attempt to riddle, insult, and deride Sari for not basically giving up on the blessing, and her. Then yeah, after that she is a good friend.
Exactly thats what happened.
The king's backstory was kinda sad. Yet I understand his father's intentions. He wanted his son to be strong because of all the pressure ahead. At the same time he also had to hide a huge secret, which is having a child with a human, which is a huge taboo in the beast world because (if it isn't obvious already) beasts and humans don't mix in this anime. Thus he has to act rough and cold towards his son in order to strengthen him for the future. It's like how the current king (his son) have to act rough and cold in front of others too in order to not only hide his half-human side but also to endure all the pressures. That's at least my take on this backstory.
you literally saw him lashing out at leo on his freaking deathbed when their was no need for optics tho
Yeah there's more to it fs
Regardless that the beast world is also both patriarchal and patrilineal, it never gets old that there'll be wounded hearts out of parental neglect. What Leonhart said to the cat royalty was not just stern but heartfelt in some ways. Tetra just left a "souvenir" on MC pure-white fair maiden too.
Based on what Leonhart just shared and opened up to Saliphi, it's like there's chance Leo and his dead father aren't directly biologically related. It's just a hunch to me that stories involving birth history or family trees still buried in mysteries, have the tendencies to be wht I think they will be in the future. But who knows?
That seems unlikely, the king has the royal beast form, meaning he almost has to be biologically related (presupposing no magical creation shenanigans, but there's no precedent for that so far). I could see him actually turning out to be a nephew tho (likely not a very distant relative as he was the heir to the throne, why would the former king choose a distantly related heir?)
Shh... you might just spoil something, whether I have an idea or not. :)
He is the legit, heir and only son acknowledged of the previous King. The problem must stem through the other side of the bloodline or some kind of generational skipping reactive gene within the royal family tree. there is so much yet to unravel, But who learns it can also determine how power flows.
Interesting this event ended up making them have consummating their union and having children in their minds, I'm curious as to if the children will end up three quarter human and a quarter beast or depending on the form Leo consummates in, will it have an effect on the genetics or not.
It was sad to learn how much Leo's father despised him considering it was his actions that gave birth to him, and if he really despised him, why didn't he get rid of him and make another child with an heir? I know that's messed up but there was no reason for him to take it out on Leo and especially on the day he dies, that's the last memory Leo has of his father.
It's sad how that queen gets the blame and full brunt of pressure to have a male child when the father takes part in the making of the baby, I felt bad for the queen because it was very much affecting her and her relationship with her children and I bet the father wasn't doing anything to alleviate the mental burden she had.
The father probably wasn't even aware.
About Leo's father and why he acted that way, it'll make sense soon. Everything will make sense, it's well written don't worry. ^^
Not Tetra setting her sights on Anubis 🤣 yeah, I wouldn't recommend him either 😂
I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying!
Sighhh this fantasy world still places men above women huh :/
Tetra sees something we don't In Anubis lol
For a short moment, I thought I saw an older version of Sariphi in the reflection in the lake. It turned out to be Leonhart's robe, pretending to be part of a tall Sariphi's dress ;)
